Strategic Operations Lead

Job Title: Strategic Operations Lead
Location: Remote, with preference for Southern or Eastern Africa
Type: Contractual

Why this role exists

As paNhari enters a new phase of growth and scaling, we need someone to coordinate operations, align our growing team and turn our strategy into measurable results. The Strategic Operations Lead will ensure plans are implemented effectively, eliminate bottlenecks and maintain clarity on priorities across programmes, fundraising, communications and administration.

Key responsibilities
Candidate profile:

This role is ideal for someone with 5–8 years’ experience in nonprofit management, consulting or operations/strategy roles. You should have strong project-management and facilitation skills, excellent communication abilities and an understanding of African youth issues. Comfort in managing multiple work streams and working within a mission-driven team is essential.

Job Title: Programme Manager – Youth Initiatives
Location: Remote, with preference for Southern or Eastern Africa
Type: Contractual

Why this role exists

paNhari’s core identity lies in its youth-focused programmes and innovation challenges. To ensure these initiatives are delivered at scale and with excellence, we are seeking a dedicated Programme Manager who will champion youth leadership, design engaging curricula, and cultivate a vibrant community of young innovators across Africa.

Key responsibilities
Candidate profile:

We are looking for someone with 4–7 years’ experience in youth programmes, accelerators, fellowships or innovation hubs. You should have strong facilitation and community-building skills, experience running competitions or hackathons, and comfort working with young people across Africa. Strong writing skills and the ability to contribute to proposals are essential.

Job Title: Business Development & Partnerships Manager
Location: Remote, with preference for Southern or Eastern Africa
Type: Contractual

paNhari is poised for significant growth and impact, yet our ability to seize new opportunities depends on building strong partnerships and securing funding. The Business Development & Partnerships Manager will focus full-time on identifying, pursuing and securing resources and alliances that align with our mission.

Key responsibilities
Candidate profile

We seek someone with 3–6 years’ experience in fundraising, business development or partnerships. Strong writing and storytelling skills are essential. Familiarity with the African funding landscape is highly desirable but not required. You should be proactive, persistent and comfortable engaging senior stakeholders.

Job Title: Admin and Operations Officer
Location: Remote, with preference for Southern or Eastern Africa
Type: Contractual

Why this role exists

To ensure our programmes and fundraising efforts run smoothly, paNhari needs strong operational support. The Admin & Operations Officer will manage day-to-day administrative, HR and financial tasks, providing the backbone that allows our team to focus on impact and growth.

Key responsibilities
Candidate profile

We are looking for someone with 2–4 years’ experience in operations or NGO administration. You should have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, comfort with digital tools and a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude. Basic finance knowledge and experience working with accountants or bookkeepers are a plus.

Job Title: Communications & Visibility Specialist
Location: Remote, with preference for Zimbabwe, Kenya or Cape Town
Type: Part-time (15–25 hours per week) or consultancy

We have powerful stories of youth transformation and innovation but limited capacity to share them. The Communications & Visibility Specialist will create engaging, multi-platform content to showcase paNhari’s impact, attract supporters, and strengthen our brand.

Candidate profile

We are looking for someone with 2–5 years of experience in communications, digital media or youth-focused content creation. You should be a strong storyteller, comfortable with smartphone video and editing tools, familiar with African youth online culture and able to translate complex concepts into accessible content.
